Terms of Service
Effective date: July 19, 2026 · Version 1.0
Welcome to Vishto. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Vishto Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India ("Vishto", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Vishto website at https://vishto.com (including the installable web app) and the Vishto mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy (which explains how we handle your personal data) and our Cookie Policy (which explains the cookies and similar storage technologies we use). Those two documents are information notices, not contract terms: they tell you what we do with data, and where we rely on your consent for any particular processing, that consent is asked for and recorded separately rather than being implied by your acceptance of these Terms.
In these Terms, "you" or "user" means the person using the Service, and "Content" means anything saved, uploaded, posted, or otherwise submitted through the Service, including product entries, photos, videos, captions, notes, comments, messages, and posts.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
1.1. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.2. Minimum age. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to use it. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.
1.3. Users under 18. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Service. Separately from that contractual point, where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, a person under 18 is a "child" and we may process a child's personal data only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. Responsibility for obtaining that consent rests with Vishto, not with the user, and a minor's own statement that a parent has consented is not sufficient. We may restrict account creation or specific features for users who indicate that they are under 18.
1.4. If you use the Service on behalf of another person with their permission (for example, managing a shared family wishlist), you remain responsible for that use.
2. The Service — What Vishto Is (and Is Not)
2.1. Vishto is a personal wishlist platform. It lets you save products you find at third-party online stores — by pasting a store link (from which we automatically extract product details), by taking a photo, or by sharing from another app — and organise, track, and share them. Features include price tracking and price-drop alerts, wishlist sharing via public share links, secret gift reservations, groups with invite codes and group messages, comments, a public "Picks" feed of user-posted looks, following other users, favourite shops, Discover recommendations and editorial picks, trending searches, web and reverse-image search, and price comparison.
2.2. Vishto is not a store. We do not sell anything, we do not process payments, and we do not collect payment card data. When you click through to a product, any purchase you make is made directly from the third-party store, on that store's own terms. Vishto is not a party to, and has no responsibility for, any transaction between you and a third-party store.
2.3. Prices and availability are not guaranteed. Product information on Vishto — including titles, images, descriptions, prices, price history, price comparisons, and currency conversions — is collected on a best-effort basis and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always verify the current price, availability, and terms on the store's own website before buying. See Section 10.
2.4. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by Vishto's own first-party advertising (see Section 9).
3. Accounts and Security
3.1. To use most features you must create an account with a username, email address, and password, or sign in with the optional Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
3.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Choose a strong password. Notify us at support@vishto.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3.3. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, impersonate another person in your account details, or use a username that infringes anyone's rights or is offensive or misleading.
3.4. We store passwords in hashed form and apply reasonable technical and organisational security measures, but no online service can be guaranteed absolutely secure. We do not claim any security certification or accreditation for the Service.
4. Your Content
4.1. You keep ownership. You retain all rights you hold in the Content you submit to the Service. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your Content to us.
4.2. Licence to Vishto. So that we can operate the Service, you grant Vishto a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resizing or reformatting images), display, and distribute your Content, solely for the purposes of operating, providing, and improving the Service and its features (including sharing features you choose to use, such as share links, groups, and the Picks feed). This licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, except (a) where you have shared Content publicly and others have re-shared or interacted with it in ways that persist independently (for example, comments on a since-deleted post may be removed along with it, but copies made by others outside the Service are beyond our control), and (b) for limited periods needed for backups and legal compliance, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.3. Visibility settings. You control the visibility of each product entry (private, friends, or public). Please note:
- Public share links make a list viewable by anyone who has the link, without an account. Treat share links accordingly.
- Picks posts are public to all users of the Service. Do not post anything in Picks that you want to keep private.
- Gift reservations hide the reserver's identity from the list owner by design.
4.4. Responsibility. You are solely responsible for your Content. In this Section 4.4, and in Section 15(a), "your Content" means material you author or upload — photos, videos, captions, notes, comments, group messages, and Picks posts. It does not include product titles, descriptions, images, prices, or other product metadata that the Service automatically retrieves from a store page when you submit a store link; that material is retrieved by Vishto, and you give no warranty about it. In respect of the Content you author or upload, you represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party right. Product images and metadata extracted from store pages remain the property of their respective owners (see Section 6).
4.5. Moderation. We do not pre-screen Content, but we may remove or restrict access to Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law, and we may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not, in connection with the Service:
- (a) post or share Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, sexually exploitative of minors, or that promotes violence or illegal activity;
- (b) infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- (c) impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- (d) harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse other users, including through comments, group messages, or the Picks feed;
- (e) scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download data from the Service, or access the Service by automated means other than through interfaces we provide;
- (f) probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure;
- (g) upload malware or other harmful code;
- (h) use the Service to send spam or unsolicited promotions, or to manipulate the Picks feed, trending searches, follows, or any other feature;
- (i) circumvent, remove, or interfere with the Service's advertising, security, or access controls;
- (j) use the Service for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us, or resell access to the Service;
- (k) post or share Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or that incites the commission of any cognisable offence or prevents the investigation of any offence;
- (l) post or share information that is patently false or misleading in nature and that you communicate with the intent to mislead, deceive, or harass any person;
- (m) post or share Content that is harmful to a child;
- (n) post or share Content that violates any law relating to gambling or online games of chance;
- (o) post or share Content that impersonates another person, or that has been artificially generated, morphed, or edited so that it appears authentic and could reasonably be mistaken for a real person, event, or statement; or
- (p) violate any applicable law or regulation.
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we reasonably consider appropriate, including removing Content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to authorities where required.
24-hour removal for intimate imagery and impersonation. If an individual (or someone acting on their behalf) complains that Content on the Service exposes that individual's private area, shows them in full or partial nudity, shows or depicts them in a sexual act or conduct, or impersonates them — including where the material has been artificially morphed or synthetically generated — we will remove or disable access to that Content within 24 hours of receiving the complaint. Send such complaints to us at support@vishto.com (Section 20).
6. Intellectual Property
6.1. Vishto's IP. The Service — including its software, design, logos, editorial picks, and the "Vishto" name and branding — is owned by or licensed to Vishto and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no rights in the Service are granted to you.
6.2. Third-party marks and images. Product names, trademarks, logos, and product images that appear in the Service belong to their respective owners — typically the brands and stores whose products users save. Their appearance on Vishto does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by or of, Vishto.
6.3. IP complaints. If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, please send a notice to us at support@vishto.com (see Section 20) including: (a) identification of the protected work; (b) identification and location (URL) of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law; (e) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf, made subject to any penalties your law provides for false statements; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
We will review notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the material, notify the user who posted it, and terminate repeat infringers' accounts. Because these Terms are governed by Indian law, copyright complaints are handled under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Copyright Rules, 2013: where we disable access to material on the basis of your complaint, we may restore access after 21 days unless you provide us with an order from a competent court restraining the display of that material within that period. We also accept notices submitted in the form used under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act from rights holders who prefer that format. If your Content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with equivalent details to the same address.
7. Third-Party Links and Stores
7.1. The Service contains links to third-party stores and websites, and displays product information sourced from them. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party website, store, product, or service.
7.2. Any purchase, return, refund, warranty, delivery, or customer-service matter is exclusively between you and the relevant store. Your use of third-party websites is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
8. Affiliate Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure: outbound links from Vishto to Amazon carry Vishto's affiliate tag, and Vishto may earn a commission when you make a qualifying purchase after clicking such a link. This does not change the price you pay. Beyond your clicking an ordinary link, no personal data is shared by Vishto with Amazon in connection with these links.
9. Advertising on the Service
9.1. The Service is funded by Vishto's own first-party advertising, which may appear as a startup splash screen, banners, sponsored cards, and ads in feeds. Ad impressions and clicks are counted server-side in aggregate; we do not build per-user advertising profiles and we do not use third-party advertising networks, third-party advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioural advertising. Sponsored content is presented as such; the presence of an ad does not constitute an endorsement by Vishto of the advertised product.
9.2. Children. We do not undertake tracking or behavioural monitoring of children, and we do not direct targeted advertising at children. Ads on the Service are first-party and untargeted for all users, which is consistent with the prohibitions in Section 9(3) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9.3. Storage used by the Service. Vishto sets no third-party advertising cookies, no third-party analytics cookies, and no cross-site tracking technologies. The storage we do use includes:
| What | Where it is stored | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in and session data | Your browser or app | Signs you in and keeps you signed in. Without it the Service cannot work. |
| Ad frequency capping | Your browser, as local storage keys named vishto-ad-seen-ID (where ID identifies a particular ad) | Records that a specific ad has already been shown to this browser, so the same ad is not shown again too often. |
The frequency-capping key is written to and read from your own device by Vishto and is not shared with any third party, and it is not used to build a profile of you or to follow you across other websites. It is not, however, strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested, and under EU and UK ePrivacy rules storage of that kind can require the user's consent rather than falling within an exemption. Vishto does not currently present a cookie consent banner; the Cookie Policy describes each item in full and explains how to block or clear it.
10. Price Information Disclaimer
Price tracking, price history, price-drop alerts, price comparison, currency conversion, and similar features are provided on a best-effort, informational basis only. Prices are retrieved periodically and may be stale, wrong for your region, exclusive of taxes or shipping, or affected by currency-conversion approximations. A price-drop alert is not a promise that the price is currently available. Always verify the actual price and terms on the store's website before purchasing. Vishto accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on price information shown in the Service.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
11.1. We aim to keep the Service available and improving, but we provide it without any uptime commitment. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.
11.2. We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. If we discontinue the Service entirely or make a change that materially reduces its core functionality, we will use reasonable efforts to give you advance notice so that you can save copies of your Content before the change takes effect. The Service does not currently offer a one-click download of your data; you can view and save your Content from within the app, and you may request a copy of your personal data by writing to support@vishto.com.
12. Termination
12.1. By you. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete individual products and posts, or your entire account, from within the app. Account deletion removes your account and your Content as described in the Privacy Policy. You can also contact support@vishto.com for help with deletion, or to request a copy of your personal data.
12.2. By us. We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict your access to some or all features, if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or other users. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue; in serious cases (for example, unlawful content or security abuse) we may act immediately.
12.3. Sections that by their nature should survive termination survive, namely: the closing part of Section 4.2 (residual licence for backups, legal compliance, and Content already re-shared), Section 4.4, Section 6, Section 8, Section 10, Section 13, Section 14, Section 15, Section 16, and Section 18. In addition, the grievance mechanism in Section 20 remains available to you after termination in relation to matters arising before or in connection with it.
13. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that product information (including prices) will be accurate or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you; nothing in this section limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Limitation of Liability
14.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vishto and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, without limitation, losses arising from purchases made from third-party stores, reliance on price or product information, Content posted by other users, or unauthorised access to your account not caused by our breach of these Terms.
14.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vishto's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to INR 5,000 (Indian Rupees five thousand) — reflecting that the Service is provided free of charge — or the minimum amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater.
14.3. Carve-outs. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose laws grant you mandatory rights or remedies, those rights are not affected by these Terms, and the limitations in this Section apply only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vishto and its directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your Content, as that term is defined for this purpose in Section 4.4 (material you author or upload, and not product data automatically retrieved by the Service from a store link); (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your use of the Service. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own breach of these Terms or our own unlawful conduct, and, where you are a consumer, applies only to the extent permitted by the consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
16.1. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
16.2. Subject to clause 16.3, the competent courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, and you and we each submit to that jurisdiction.
16.3. If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose laws give you the right to bring or defend proceedings in your local courts, or the benefit of your local mandatory consumer-protection laws, nothing in this Section deprives you of that right or benefit.
16.4. Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@vishto.com (see also Section 20) so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
17. Changes to These Terms
17.1. We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features or changes in law. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect, and we will update the effective date and version number above. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.
17.2. Separately, and at least once every year, we will remind you of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Cookie Policy, of any changes made to them, and of the fact that not complying with these Terms may lead to removal of your Content or termination of your access to the Service.
18. General Provisions
18.1. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
18.2. Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Vishto regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements on the subject. The Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy are not contract terms; they are information notices describing how we handle personal data and what we store on your device. Where we rely on your consent for any processing, that consent is requested and recorded separately, as described in the Privacy Policy.
18.3. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, or by operation of law. If personal data would be transferred as part of such a transaction, we will handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection law and will inform you of any change in who controls your personal data.
18.4. No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. Any waiver must be in writing to be effective.
18.5. No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Vishto.
18.6. Language. The Service's interface is available in many languages, and translations of these Terms may be provided for convenience. In case of conflict, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20.1. Timelines. We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours of receiving it and resolve it within 15 days of receipt. Where a shorter statutory timeline applies, we will meet that shorter timeline instead — in particular, Content of the kinds described at the end of Section 5 (non-consensual intimate imagery and impersonating or morphed material) will be removed or access to it disabled within 24 hours of the complaint.
20.2. Appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee. If your grievance concerns your personal data and you are not satisfied after using the grievance mechanism described above, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The Privacy Policy explains your rights as a Data Principal and how to exercise them.
